5.2.1 Wizard-styleUninstallation

It describes how to uninstall Systemwalker Desktop Keeper Client (CT) with Wizard-style.

  1. Log on to Windows with a user that belongs to the Administrators group or a user that belongs to the Domain Admins group. When other another application is being used, please exit it.

  2. Start [Control Panel]-[Add or Remove Programs] or [Add or Remove Applications].

  3. Select [Systemwalker Desktop Keeper Client], and click the [Remove] button.

  4. After clicking [Yes] in the removal confirmation window, the following password input window will be displayed. Please enter the password and click the [Next] button.

  5. The uninstallation begins. After it has finished normally, the “Uninstallation Completed” window will be displayed.

    The system needs to be restarted after uninstallation has finished. Select one of the following options, and then click the [Finish] button.

    • [Yes, restart the computer immediately.]

    • [No, restart the computer later.]

    Note

    In the case of Windows Vista®, Windows Server 2008®, Windows® 7 or later, an error message will be output when restarting

    When using Windows Vista®, Windows Server 2008®, Windows® 7 or later, when restarting after uninstallation, the following message will be output. The uninstallation will run normally, so please continue with the operation.

    Error occurred when uninstalling Systemwalker Desktop Keeper Client. It may have already been uninstalled.
    Do you want to remove Systemwalker Desktop Keeper Client from [Programs and Functions]? 

    In addition, the same message will also be displayed when uninstalling the Management Console and the Log Viewer.
