There are two methods of performing the installation of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent (for Windows).
Default installation
Default installation uses the following configuration information. You can skip those entries.
Installation destination
The "<System Drive>:\Win32app\AdvancedCopyManager" directory is used as the base location for the Program Directory, Environment Directory and Work Directory.
Port number for the communication service
"1226" is used.
Custom installation
You need to enter the configuration information for Installation on the screen (installation destination, communication service port number).
Note
Use DVD-ROM to install ETERNUS SF Manager.
Do not copy DVD-ROM contents to a local directory for installing ETERNUS SF Manager.
For cluster operation of the system on which to install AdvancedCopy Manager's agent, refer to "Installation of the Windows version of AdvancedCopy Manager Agent" in the "ETERNUS SF Cluster Environment Setup Guide".
The installation procedure of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent (for Windows) is performed as follows:
Using an account with Administrator privileges, log on the server where the installation will be performed.
Insert the DVD-ROM "ETERNUS SF SC/ACM/Express V15.0B Mediapack (Agent Program and Manual)" into the DVD-ROM drive.
The following screen is displayed. Click the [AdvancedCopy Manager installation] button.
The following screen is displayed. Click the [Installation of the Agent].
The following screen is displayed in case of the 64bit operating system. After checking the screen contents, click the [Next] button.
In case of the 32bit operating system, "x86" is displayed instead of "x64.
Read the terms and conditions in the [License Agreement] screen.
After reading the contents, if the conditions are agreed click the [Yes] button.
On the [Welcome] screen, select the install option.
Select an option with reference to the criteria in the table below .
Install option | Explanation |

Default | In this installation method, the following checks are automatically performed regarding the information provided as a default:
Consequently, the steps 8 and 9 are skipped. If an error is detected at this stage, a warning dialog is displayed. |
Custom | The installation information must be entered in the screens from step 8 and later. |
Specify the installation directory in the [Install Destination] screen.
If installing to a directory other than the directory displayed by default, click the [Browse] button and change the install location. After designating all of the directories, click the [Next] button.
Note
Directories with spaces in their names (e.g. "Program Files") cannot be specified as installation directory.
Enter the port number to be allocated for the service in the [Port Registration] screen.
The first displayed value is the recommended value for a non cluster environment.
To change the port number, enter a number within a range from 5001 to 32767.
For cluster operations in Windows Server 2003, it is necessary to change the number to the above range.
After entering the port number, click the [Next] button. If a specified port number is already used, this screen will be displayed again
If the AdvancedCopy Manager service name is defined with alias name, the following dialog will be displayed and the port number specified on the previous screen is ignored. However, processing for installation will continue.
Point
For setting the port number manually, edit the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services file.
Check the settings information in the [Start Copying Files] screen.
If the settings are correct, click the [Next] button. The copy processing starts.
To go back and change a setting, click the [Back] button.
Once the copy processing ends, the following screen is displayed. Finish the installation by clicking [Finish] on the window which displayed in step 3 and step 4.
Eject the DVD-ROM from the DVD-ROM drive.
The installation of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent (for Windows) is completed.
Set up AdvancedCopy Manager's agent with reference to "6.2 Setup of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent".
