C.2.4 The Virtual Adapter Links Down

Problem

The virtual adapter links down.

Cause

If all of the transmission paths bundled in the virtual adapter link down, the virtual adapter itself links down. When this happens, the TCP/IP applications using the virtual adapter for communication are disconnected and communication is terminated.

This is the standard behavior for physical adapters in Windows operating systems. GLS follows the Windows pattern.

Action

Restart communication in the higher level applications after the transmission path is restored.
