Command Format

The notation conventions used in describing commands in this chapter are listed in the table below.

Table 6.3 Command Format

[ ]

Denotes an option that can be omitted.
Example: [-r]

[ | ]

Denotes multiple options that can be omitted. The vertical bar ( | ) is used to separate options.
Example: [-s|-g]

{ | }

Denotes multiple options, of which only one can and must be specified. The vertical bar ( | ) is used to separate options.
Example: {vadapter|all}

Italics

Denotes a variable character string (as a value for an option). In the example below, "vadapter" is the variable string.
Example: hanetconfig delete -n vadapter
