After you have checked that IP addresses have been set for all virtual adapters, you can start ping monitoring.
If you start ping monitoring and no IP address is set for one or more virtual adapters, the system may assume that an error has occurred and switch physical adapters.
Use the hanetpoll command to start ping monitoring.

If you shut down Windows with a virtual adapter activated, ping monitoring starts automatically the next time you start Windows.
