Chapter 1 Resource Coordinator VE Messages

This chapter explains an outline of the messages displayed by Resource Coordinator VE.

The locations where messages are output or displayed vary depending on the component involved.

The output format of the manager, agent, and CLI messages is as follows:


Output format

pkgname:severity:id:message

pkgname

Displays the package name.

severity

Indicates the severity of the problem.

  • INFO (Information)

    The message provides information to users.

  • WARNING (Warning)

    The message warns users that the system has detected an error.

  • ERROR (Error)

    The message shows the cause of a detected problem.

id

Displays the ID of the message.

message

Displays the text of the message.

Note

  • At the beginning of messages, command names may be displayed using "command1:" or "command1:command2:".

  • For command1 or command2, executed processes may be displayed.

  • pkgname, severity, and id may not be included in message.

  • When executing pre-configuration, "(in line line_no of the system configuration file)" may be displayed at the end of messages.

  • line_no indicates the line in the system configuration file that was imported for pre-configuration that contains an error or was unable to be processed.

Information

  • Management blades, Management Boards, Remote Management Controllers, ServerView Agent, ServerView RAID

    When a chassis name is displayed for the Device name in an event log, the event is related to a management blade or a Management Board.
    When an event log has a blank Event ID and a physical server name is displayed for the Device name, the event is a Remote Management Controller, ServerView Agent, or ServerView RAID event, or indicates the status of a device registered as a server.
    For management blade, Management Board, Remote Management Controller, ServerView Agent, and ServerView RAID events, refer to the manual of the relevant product.

  • SPARC Enterprise

    When an event log has a blank Event ID and the physical server name of a SPARC Enterprise server is displayed for the Device name, the event is an XSCF and ILOM event, or indicates the status of a device registered as a server.
    For XSCF and ILOM events refer to the manual of the relevant product.

  • LAN switches

    When a LAN switch name is displayed for the Device name in an event log, the event is related to a LAN switch.
    For LAN switch events refer to the manual of the LAN switch being used.
