acinhibit set - Settings for volume protection
SYNOPSIS
acinhibit set -v Volume-Name [-xml]
DESCRIPTION
This command sets volume protection settings.
Protection settings prevent transaction volumes being accidentally destroyed by advanced copy as a result of operator error.
This command is supported in Windows, Solaris, Linux 5 (for x86, for Intel64).
The following type of logical volume can be specified:
Open (including Thin Provisioning Volume)
OPTIONS
This option specifies the logical volume.
The format used to specify the logical volume is as follows:
(1) ETERNUS name
(2) Logical volume number
The extent start position and the extent size cannot be specified.
This option specifies that the logical volume be displayed in XML output format.
EXIT STATUS
=0 : Completed successfully
>0 : Terminated abnormally
EXAMPLES
> acinhibit set -v DX440/0x1 Successful completion
NOTES
The copy volume protection function cannot be used for the following volumes:
Logical volumes in remote ETERNUS disk storage systems
Copy destination logical volumes where a REC session exists
