1.4.2 Software requirements

This section describes the software requirements for the server used by AdvancedCopy Manager CCM.

1.4.2.1 Basic software

Operating system for the CCM server

Check that the CCM server has one of the following system environments.

Note 1: The Hyper-V(TM) function of Windows Server 2008 is not supported.

Note 2: AdvancedCopy Manager CCM operation is not supported in an environment where SELinux (Security-Enhanced Linux) is enabled. Disable SELinux at servers that operate AdvancedCopy Manager CCM.

Note 3: Operates in 32-bit compatible mode or 64-bit mode.

Note 4: It is not able to use ETERNUS DX80 S2/DX90 S2, ETERNUS DX410 S2/DX440 S2.

Point

It is recommended that the copy destination logical volume should not be connected to any server, for the following reasons:

• To prevent copies between different operating systems

• Operating system behavior cannot be guaranteed if there is another logical volume with the same management information in the same ETERNUS disk storage systems

1.4.2.2 Exclusion software

The AdvancedCopy Manager CCM cannot coexist with the following software.

• ETERNUS SF Express

The AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is internally bundled with the ETERNUS SF Express. When the ETERNUS SF Express has been installed, use the AdvancedCopy Manager CCM bundled with the ETERNUS SF Express.
