D.5.7 An exception occurs when performance monitoring operation

Phenomenon

When the following operation is executed, message swsag0679 "An unexpected error occurred.", or ssmgr3212 "Failed to set or obtain the information for the storage device. Error code=xxx, detail message=yyy" is displayed.

Operation:

• Start or stop performance monitoring.

• Click [Device] - [Create Device Configuration File] of the Performance Management window.

• Drag&Drop the device icon from Main view to the Performance Management window.

Action

Please follow the following procedures.

• ETERNUS DX80 S2/DX90 S2, DX400 S2 series

  1. Select [Device] - [Change Account Information for Device Management] on the Main view.

  2. Operate the performance monitoring for the device again after restart manager service.
