A.4 RAID Group Information

The following is specified for Express as RAID group information.

This information is for ETERNUS Disk storage system only.

Table A.4 RAID group configuration information

Item

Description

Name

This is a RAID group name.
You can enter a maximum of 16 one-byte alphanumeric characters and symbols.
However, the symbols of percent (%) at the head of a name, backslash (\), question (?) and comma (,) are unusable.

RAID Level

This is a RAID level.
Select any of the following according to purposes.

  • RAID0

  • RAID1

  • RAID1+0

  • RAID5

  • RAID5+0

  • RAID6

Assigned CM

This is a disk storage system CM number used for disk.
Check the CM number of a disk storage system to be connected and select any of the following.

  • Auto

  • CM#0

  • CM#1

Default is "Auto".

Disk Selection

Select either of the following to specify disks that make up a RAID group.

  • Automatic

  • Manual

When "Manual" is selected, a list of disks is displayed. Select disks to be used from it.
Default is "Automatic".

Number of Disks

This is the number of disks that make up a RAID group.
Only when you select "Automatic" in "Disk Selection", select the number of disks here.

Point

When the above items are specified, the capacity of a RAID group to be created is displayed in the "Raw Capacity" column.
