This software supports fault management of FibreCAT SX. Follow the procedure below to register the disk array as a manually embedded device:
Registering the device
Use the manual embedding function to register FibreCAT SX with this software. Execute the registration of each controller module for FibreCAT SX with 2 controller modules.
IP address of controller module must be set in "IP address" for the registration.
SNMP trap setting
Please set the trap transmission destination by FibreCAT SX WBI so that SNMP traps of FibreCAT SX will be sent to the operation management server, refer to FibreCAT SX Series Administrator's Guide for more information.
If the operation management server is defined as a cluster, the logical IP address of the cluster needs to be set.
Management software linkage
Use the management software FibreCAT SX WBI provided for the FibreCAT SX to check device status details and to enter settings. The management software is called directly from the device icon. Register the device on the resource management screen, and then select [Management Software] from the device icon properties and click the <Change> button. Set the program name shown below for the device management software. controllerip is the IP address of the controller.
