This section details how to configure the TSM settings after the automatic activation of daemons is completed.

When the Configuration of automatically activate daemons is completed, reboot the system and activate all the daemons on the Tape Server.
Before performing the following operations, execute dsmadmc (TSM administrative client command). If the prompt with "tsm>" is not displayed as in the execution example, re-try dsmadmc (TSM administrative client command) and if successful, then perform the operations.
The following details how to start and stop the TSM administrative client command and TSM client command.
How to start TSM administrative client command
Execute dsmadmc (TSM administrative client command).
After the successfully creating a TSM shell, the "tsm>" prompt is displayed.
An example is provided below.
# cd /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin # ./dsmadmc IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Command Line Administrative Interface - Version 5, Release 5, Level 2.0 (c) Copyright by IBM Corporation and other(s) 1990, 2009. You will be asked to provide a user id and a password.
At the [Enter your user id] prompt, enter the TSM administrator ID and press the Return key.
At the [Enter your password] prompt, enter the TSM administrator password and press the Return key.
How to Stop TSM administrative client command
To stop dsmadmc (TSM administrative client command), enter "quit" in the "tsm>" prompt. An example is provided below.
