7.1 Hardware

Operation models

Installation devices must meet the following requirements:

I/O devices

The I/O devices shown below are required to perform tape backups.

An AdvancedCopy Manager licence and appropriate cache table size settings are required. These settings vary for different devices, so check with your Fujitsu systems engineer.

Any one is required.

To use ETERNUS DX60/DX80/DX90, ETERNUS DX410/DX440, ETERNUS2000, ETERNUS3000, or ETERNUS4000, it must be connected to a LAN.
In addition, to use ETERNUS3000 models 100, 200, 400 and 600, its firmware version must be V20L32 or later.

ETERNUS LT20/LT40/LT60/LT130/LT160/LT220/LT230/LT250/LT270

Any one is required.

LAN card

None

Host bus adapter

An adapter that supports connection to a Fiber Channel Guard or similar storage (ETERNUS) device.

Note

LTO-Ultrium4 version drives cannot read LTO-Ultrium1 version tapes.
Make sure the tape version is compatible with the drive version.
