Chapter 2 Environment Configuration |
This section explains how to configure NAS.
Proceed with initial configuration including network systems and RAID according to the NAS manual.
Create volumes according to the NAS manual. The volume name is required when PRIMECLUSTER Wizard for NAS is configured.
If you use a DNS server on NAS, it is necessary to map an IP address to a host name. If you do not use a DNS server, register a host name and IP address using the following steps:
It is also necessary to register host names and IP addresses of cluster nodes that use NAS in the "/etc/hosts" file (mount point).
You must specify the same host name as that of the cluster node in the DNS or NAS "/etc/inet/hosts" file. If the name is different, the file lock might not be properly controlled.
Set up rsh that is used to control NAS using the following steps:
Options rsh.access host=host name1, host name2, *. |
After setup, it is recommended to check if rsh on cluster nodes is available for NAS.
# rsh nas1 date |
