3.1 [Solaris OS Version] Manager Messages

This section explains the error messages output by the Solaris OS Manager to the system log file (default file name is /var/adm/messages).

A1001: Could not establish connection with SNMP Trap daemon/service

Severity

ERROR

Cause

It was not possible to connect it with the SNMP Trap monitor daemon.

Response

Please confirm whether the SNMP Trap monitoring daemon is starting normally by executing the following command:

# /bin/ps -ef| grep snmp-trapd

Please execute reactivation when the SNMP Trap monitoring daemon has stopped.
For the activation method, refer to "12.1.2.1 Starting and stopping the SNMP Trap monitoring daemon" in the ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser User's Guide.

If this fails to solve the problem, refer to the description in the following manual, then contact your Fujitsu systems engineer (SE).

A1002: Could not execute REMCS script

Severity

ERROR

Cause

An attempt to start REMCS linkage script failed because of an input-output error.

Response

Make sure that the memory and system resources of the file descriptors are sufficient.
If too many files are open for an application that activates many processes, this error may occur.
In such cases, decrease the number of the executed processes, or expand the system resources.

B1001: Manager process abnormal end.

ERROR

Cause

The Manager process ends abnormally.

Response

Refer to the following manual, collect the necessary information to solve the problem and contact your Fujitsu systems engineer (SE).
