3.1 ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser restrictions

Restrictions for print function:
Printable only on a printer set by "Printing Preferences". If you specify other printer, you cannot print.

After doing the following operations on a correlation window, a popup menu is not displayed by right click.

  1. Expansion of table element.

  2. Drag & drop listed items in the table element to application.

  3. Operate a popup menu by the dragged list.

Select other point than the dragged list.

Clients on all Windows operating systems

For tree view, map view and list view, you cannot move from screen to screen with the keyboard (Tab key operation), select/move device icons (cursor key operation) and scroll screens with the mouse wheel function.

Use the mouse to move screens, select device icons and scroll screens.

For tree view, map view and Fibre Channel switch property window, in the following device, an icon different from a real device is displayed.

  • Brocade 7800

For Side view, in the following devices, FC ports are displayed in the order different from a real device.

  • Brocade 7800

  • Extension Blade (installed in Brocade DCX and Brocade DCX-4S)

For conclusion a FC port, use the list view in Side view.
For the method of conclusion a FC port from the list view, refer to "6.1.5 Side view" in the "ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser User's Guide".

Managers and clients in all environments

Thin Provisioning restriction:
The Storage Volume Configuration Navigator cannot be used to perform Thin Provisioning Pool and Thin Provisioning Volume operations.

Use ETERNUSmgr for these operations.

Storage management commands cannot be used to display Pool and Thin Provisioning Volume information or to perform Thin Provisioning Pool and Thin Provisioning Volume operations.

Solaris OS Manager

fjsnap alone cannot collect required data when collecting detailed investigation data.

Both fjsnap and managersnap should be used.

When Enhanced Support Facility including FJSVsnap(VL:2.7) is offered.
