2.1.1 Installation on the Windows environment

Use the following procedure to install AdvancedCopy Manager CCM.

Point

The AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is internally bundled with the ETERNUS SF Express. When the ETERNUS SF Express has been installed, use the AdvancedCopy Manager CCM bundled with the ETERNUS SF Express.

1. Log in to the system where AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is to be installed.

   Log in as a user that has Administrator privileges on the terminal where AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is to be installed.

   
   

2. Confirm and Install the ETERNUS SF License Manager.

   • For Windows Server 2003

     Double-click on the [Add or Remove Programs] icon in the Control Panel. On the "Add or Remove Programs" window, check whether [ETERNUS SF License Manager] is displayed or not.

   • For Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2

     Double-click on the [Programs and Features] icon in the Control Panel. On the "Programs and Features" window, check whether [ETERNUS SF License Manager] is displayed or not.

   If the [ETERNUS SF License Manager] is not displayed, install the ETERNUS SF License Manager by referring the "Installation of License Manager" in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Installation and Setup Guide".

   
   

3. Insert the AdvancedCopy Manager CCM CD into the CD drive.

   
   

4. Execute the installation program (setup.exe) from the appropriate directory for the operating system being used.

   OS	Path name of setup.exe
   Windows Server 2003	<CD drive>:\windows\setup.exe
   Windows Server 2008 Standard Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Windows Server 2008 Datacenter Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter	<CD drive>:\windows_x86\setup.exe
   Windows Server 2008 Itanium-Based Systems	<CD drive>:\windows_ia64\setup.exe

   
   

5. The following window will be displayed.

   Check the information displayed, and then click the [Next] button.

   

   
   

6. Agree to the license agreement in the [License Agreement] window.

   Check the information displayed, and then click the [Yes] button.

   

   
   

7. Specify the installation directory for AdvancedCopy Manager CCM in the [Choose Destination Location] window.

   To install AdvancedCopy Manager CCM in a directory other than the directory displayed by default, click the [Change] button and change the installation directory.

   

   If the [Change] button is clicked, the following window will be displayed.

   Select the directory where AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is to be installed, and then click the [OK] button.

   

   After all directories have been specified, click the [Next] button in the [Choose Destination Location] window.

8. Check the information displayed in the [Start Copying Files] window, and then click the [Next] button.

   To change the settings, click the [Back] button.

   

   The installation of AdvancedCopy Manager CCM begins.

   

   
   

9. The installation of AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is complete when the following window is displayed.

   Click the [Finish] button to close the installer.

   

10. Confirm the JRE pathname referred by ETERNUS SF License Manager, and change its information if needed.

    For details, refer to "Changing the JRE pathname used by License Manager" in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Installation and Setup Guide".
