AdvancedCopy Manager supports two distinct copy modes:
Snapshot high-speed copy
This creates a snapshot of data using the ETERNUS OPC function. The copy types available with this function are:
One Point Copy (OPC)
QuickOPC
SnapOPC
SnapOPC+
Synchronous high-speed copy
This maintains the equivalent status for a transaction volume and backup volume using the ETERNUS synchronizing function. The copy types available with this function are:
Equivalent Copy (EC)
Remote Equivalent Copy (REC)
With the snapshot high-speed copy (except the OPC) or synchronous high-speed copy, once an initial copy has been made, it is possible to perform the differential copying, which copies only the updated parts. With the remote copy function, it is possible to perform synchronous high-speed copy from ETERNUS disk storage systems to another ETERNUS disk storage systems located at a remote location.
