6.1.1 Registering VIOM Settings [Windows]

Use the following procedure to integrate VIOM into Resource Coordinator VE:

1. From the RC console menu, select [Settings]-[External Software (VIOM)].

   The [Configure External Software] dialog is displayed.

2. In the [Configure External Software] dialog, enter the following items.

   User name

   Enter the name of a VIOM user account.

   Password

   Enter the password of the above VIOM user account.

3. Click the <OK> button

   
   

6.1.1.1 Registering VIOM Server Profiles [Windows]

Use the following procedure to configure VIOM server profiles:

1. Configure server profiles

   From the RC console menu, select [Tools]-[VIOM Web UI].

   The Web interface of ServerView Virtual-IO Manager starts up.

   Refer to the ServerView Virtual-IO Manager manual to configure server profiles.

   Note

   HBA address rename and VIOM can not be used together within a same chassis.

2. Configure storage devices

   Refer to "3.7 Configuring the Storage Environment" to configure storage devices.

   When altering the configuration of a storage device already used by active servers, make sure to power off those servers before performing any configuration change.
