Set up the environment as described in "14.3 Operational Requirements.
AdvancedCopy Manager Tape Manager must be installed on the tape server.
For details on the installation of Tape Manager, refer to "Installing Tape Manager" in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Installation Guide".
Set up according to the following procedures.
For details on the setup procedures, refer to "Customizing the tape server" in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Installation Guide".
Set the server up as the storage server or the storage admin server
Create a partition for the access path
Allocate the port number
Tune the kernel parameters
Perform the initial setting of the tape server
Set up TSM (setup to be performed before setting the daemon to automatically start).
Set the ETERNUS tape library driver
Set the server option files
Set the client system option files
Format the database and the log files
Set the daemon to automatically start
TSM server daemon
Note
TSM database requires more space at the disaster recovery site than its size on the tape server at the operation site. The TSM database size at the operation site can be checked using the query db command.
Refer to the "ETERNUS SF TSM Administrator's Guide" for details on how to use the query db command.
The above procedures are not required if all items described in "Customizing the Tape Server" of the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Installation Guide" have been implemented. If this is the case, start implementing from "14.7.2 Preparing TSM management information".
