Before backup management can be performed, device information on a Storage Server must be temporarily stored in the repository.
Use "stgxfwcmsetdev (Device information collection/reflection command)" in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's Guide" for the operating system of the target Storage Management Server.
Note
The time required for this operation is proportional to the total number of devices defined on the Storage Server. If the number of devices is large, perform this operation while the CPU load and I/O load on the system are low.
As a guide, each operation takes about 0.5 seconds per device (partition) when there is no load on the system.
