7.1 Hardware

Operation models

Installation devices must meet the following requirements:

I/O devices

The I/O devices shown below are required to perform tape backups.

An AdvancedCopy Manager licence and appropriate cache table size settings are required. These settings vary for different devices, so check with your Fujitsu systems engineer.

Any one is required.

To use ETERNUS DX60/DX80, ETERNUS2000, ETERNUS3000, or ETERNUS4000, it must be connected to a LAN.
In addition, to use ETERNUS3000 model 100/200/400/600, its firmware version must be V20L32 or later.

LAN card

None

Host bus adapter

An adapter that supports connection to a Fiber Channel Guard or similar storage (ETERNUS) device.

Note

LTO-Ultrium4 version drives cannot read LTO-Ultrium1 version tapes.
Make sure the tape version is compatible with the drive version.
