1.5.1 Virtual disk function

It is now common practice to estimate the data size recognized by the transaction server to recognize, use, and create its volume, and accordingly allocate a logical unit (LUN) from the disk unit. VSC provides a virtual disk function that allows you to create a volume of a size independent of the logical unit (LUN) size. In other words, this function weakens the physical relationship between a transaction server and disk unit, and makes it possible to provide a volume of the desired size at the desired time for the transaction server.

You can also expand the size of a virtual disk itself.

You can create virtual disks in batch processing while retaining existing data required by users. For more information, refer to "5.1.8 Batch conversion".
