Preparations for linkage of Systemwalker Centric Manager with this software are described below.
Register the storage devices to be managed with this software before setting up a link with Systemwalker Centric Manager.
So that the names of the devices registered in this software can be resolved, either register the IP address and host name information for each device in the DNS server that is referenced by the administrative server, or define them in the /etc/hosts file on the administrative server.
To detect node names and achieve software linkage, the Systemwalker Centric Manager administrative server and the administrative server of this software should both be managed by the DNS server, and have the same /etc/hosts definition. Please confirm the settings.
The Systemwalker Centric Manager administrative server must be the same server, or Systemwalker Centric Manager Agent must be installed on the administrative server of this software.
Also, the Systemwalker Centric Manager administrative server or Systemwalker Centric Manager Agent on the same server must be operating during the linkage operation.
