Backup and restore operations of data disks should be performed in disk partition (drive) units, file system units, or file units but not in disk units.
To back up and restore non-boot disks, use the backup and restore procedures used when PSDM is not involved. For details, see the manual of your backup software.
For the following reasons, it is not recommended to use ScWL to back up data disks.
The backup operation by ScWL requires stopping the system.
The restore operation by ScWL also restores the EFI configuration. If the EFI configuration and the system disk configuration or content conflict, the system may not be booted.
