Chapter 3 Systemwalker Desktop Patrol Functions |
The client suppression is a function that suppresses users performing the following operations on the PCs with "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT" installed, in order to use Systemwalker Desktop Patrol to reliably perform security management
Suppress users stopping the "ITBudgetMGR (INV)" service of "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT".
There are following functions in the suppression for stopping services.
Regularly monitor the "Startup Type" in properties window of "Control Panel" - "Management tools" - "Services", when the setting has been changed besides the "Automatic", compulsorily restore it to the following settings.

Suppress the uninstalling of "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT" through requiring the user to enter a password during uninstall.
If "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT" is uninstalled through "Add/Remove Programs" of the Control Panel, a password is required. When performs the uninstalling, the user must contact the administrator, and confirm the password.
This function is effective under the environment with "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT" only. It cannot be used in "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CS" and "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol DS |
Suppress users changing the "Name of server to connect to" through the environment setup window of "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT".
Inactivate the "Name of server to connect to" text area of the "Server" tab on the environment setup window of "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol.
