1.8.10 Notes on opening a file on the GFS Shared File System

The number of files that can be concurrently open on one node at one time is limited in the GFS Shared File System. The maximum number is 5000 files per file system. When open(2) is attempted for the file on the GFS Shared File System exceeding the maximum number, open(2) will fail and ENFILE will be returned as an error number.
