2.2.2 Collection of Inventory Information

On Systemwalker Desktop Patrol, inventory information can be collected with the function of other products and inventory information can be collected from the PC not linked to a network.

Inventory information can be collected in the following manners:

Inventory information that can be collected is as shown below:

You can collect inventory information by installing either "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CS" or "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol DS" on the PC in which other products are installed.

For information as to how to set up, please refer to "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol Installation and Setup Guide".

The following table shows products that can collect inventory information.

FUJITSU Systemwalker CentricMGR V10.0L20 or later

Resource distribution function must be installed.

  • Search of optional key and value in registry search cannot be used.
  • Registry value and EXE information (property information) cannot be collected.
  • Metering information cannot be collected with Systemwalker Centric Manager V11.0L10 later.

Microsoft(R) Systems Management Server 2.0

Microsoft SQL Server 7 must be installed.

  • Search by the date of file updating in file search cannot be used.
  • Registry search cannot be used.
  • Metering information cannot be collected.
  • Registry value and EXE information (property information) cannot be collected.

mark1Collecting inventory information, linking with CSV (text file)

Inventory information entered in accordance with CSV format prescribed in Systemwalker Desktop Patrol can be captured.

mark1Collecting inventory information via command mode CT

This mode is used when inventory information cannot be sent on a steady basis because the PC is disconnected from network or line speed of network is low.

Inventory information can be collected even if the "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT" of Systemwalker Desktop Patrol is not installed.
