Chapter 6 Monitoring and Logging |
This section explains how to set up the logging.
Set the following environment files to obtain the log and the performance log.
Set the execution parameters involved in the performance log and the execution parameters involved in the log to each environment file.
The number of days that the log file has to be switched and the number of backups in the log file can be set as the timing to switch the log and the performance log.
If the number of days that the log file has to be switched is set and the problem occurs, the amount of logs to be analyzed will decrease. Therefore, the problem can be solved in a short period.
Also, if the number of backups is set, multiple generations of log and performance log can be managed and the important information can be prevented from losing.
Parameter Name |
Explanation |
---|---|
PfmFileFolder |
Specifies the directory where the performance log file is stored. |

Specifies the file size (MB) that the performance log file has to be switched. |
PfmFileBackup |
Specifies the number of the backups in the performance log file. |
PfmFileSwitch |
Specifies the number of days that the performance log file has to be switched. |
Refer to Appendix A Execution Parameters in Environment Files for more information on each parameter.
