3.1 Operation Flow

This section describes the flow of operations performed by Shunsaku.

The following tasks are performed during system operation:

• Starting Shunsaku
• Registering Lookup Data
• Re-registering Lookup Data
• Searching and Updating Data
• Stopping Shunsaku

• This chapter assumes that either or both of the following multi-server configurations are in place:
  • A system containing one or more additional director servers
  • A system containing one or more additional sort servers
• Users of systems that operate on a single server or systems in which searchers run on separate servers should only read sections relevant to their configuration.

It is necessary to know about the conflict relationships between commands to operate system by executing commands. Refer to E.2 Conflict Relationships between Commands for more details.
