Appendix L XML Conversion Function Mapping Rules

Mapping rules define the structure of the XML documents output to a text file by the XML conversion function. These rules define the following:

• The elements of XML documents
• The attributes of XML documents
• The correspondence between these elements/attributes and columns in the results table
• The hierarchical structure of the XML documents generated

Mapping rules are defined in mapping rule files.
