11.2.1 Establishing a Connection

To establish a connection, allocate a connection handle and specify the host information of the connection destination (host name and port number) in the ShunConnect function. The host information of the connection destination is retained by the specified connection handle.

Specify the host name and port number of the connection destination using one of the following methods:

• Configuring Settings in the API Environment File
• Specifying the Host Name and Port Number Directly
