5.1.6 Relationship between Transaction and Recovery

When the operating system or Shunsaku fails during the operation, Shunsaku will identify the transaction status of the system that is failed and restore the data after restarting the system. The transaction will be either cancelled or completed depending on the status of transaction during the failure.

The following scenarios determine which option is selected:

• A transaction for which commit processing is not completed when a system failure is canceled. Data processing performed for the transaction does not take effect.
• A transaction for which commit processing is completed when a system failure is completed. Data processing performed for the transaction takes effect.
