Chapter 1 Messages Overview

1.3 Messages Output when a Command is Executed

The following messages are output when a Shunsaku command is executed at a server.

Messages that are output when a command is executed appear in the following format.

shun:message type:message code:message text

message type

There are the following three types of the message types:

message code

A unique identification number attached to each message

message text

The text of a message that reports system status or a system error

shun:ERROR:shn22000u:Director's identifier has not been entered.

Refer to Chapter 2 Messages Beginning with 'shn' for more details about messages.

Message detail can also be viewed using the shunprtmsg command.

Example

The following example shows how to display the response to the message code 'shn22000u'.

shunprtmsg -shn 22000
shn22000u
Director's identifier has not been entered.
[Description]
The director identifier (required as an input parameter for the command) has 
not been entered.
[System action]
Stops processing this command.
[User response]
Specify the appropriate director identifier and rerun the command.
