When a new conductor is being created, specify the port numbers in the director server file shown below.
When a new sorter is being created, specify the port numbers in the sort server file shown below.
/etc/services
The specification format is shown below.

service-name port-number/protocol |
Specify a character string that can be easily associated with the conductor or the sorter.
When creating a new conductor, define the port number specified in the Conductor parameter of the system environment file.
When creating a new sorter, define the port number specified in the Sorter parameter of the system environment file.
Specify tcp.
If the MyUpdatePort parameter was deleted as described in A.2.7 Editing the Director Environment Files, delete the specified port number from the above file.
