Appendix A Migrating from Shunsaku 6.x to Shunsaku 8.x> A.2 Director Server Migration

A.2.2 Checking the System Process Configuration

Check the process configuration and information for the conductor, director, searcher and sorter (if migrating from Shunsaku 6.2) processes used in the director servers of the system before the migration.

Check the process configuration and the information of the system.

The following sections describe the procedures used to check the system operating format and system information.

mark1Checking the System Operating Format

Check that the operating format of the current system is one of the following:

mark1Checking the Conductor Information

If a conductor is used in the current system, determine which conductor is used and check the conductor identifier.

If the current system does not use a conductor, set a conductor identifier to create a new conductor. Set an alphanumeric character string of up to 8 bytes as the conductor identifier.

mark1Checking the Sorter Information

If a sorter is used in the current system, determine which sorter is used and check the sorter identifier.

If the current system does not use a sorter, set a sorter identifier to create a new sorter. Set a single-byte space alphanumeric character string of up to 8 bytes as the sorter identifier.

mark1Checking the Director Information

Determine which director is used in the current system and check the director identifier.

mark1Checking the Searcher Information

Determine which searcher is used in the current system and check the searcher identifier, the host name or IP address of the server allocated to the searcher, and the director identifier of the director that connects to the searcher.
