Chapter 6 Uninstall> 6.1 Uninstall on Search Servers

6.1.1 Shunsaku Uninstallation

The procedure used to uninstall Shunsaku is described below.

  1. Start the uninstallation script (uninstall.sh).

    For RHEL-AS4(x86)/ES4(x86)

    # mount -t iso9660 -o ro /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
    # cd /media/cdrom/redhat
    # ./uninstall.sh

    For RHEL-AS3(x86)/ES3(x86)

    # mount -t iso9660 -o ro /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
    # cd /mnt/cdrom/redhat
    # ./uninstall.sh

  2. A message will be displayed indicating which packages are currently installed, as shown below. Enter "y" and press ENTER to remove these packages.
    This program will remove "Interstage Shunsaku Data Manager Enterprise Edition" on your system.
    
    The following packages are installed.
    
        FJSVshnsy
        :
    Is removal started?(default n) [y,n]

    If there is a processing error, the following message will be displayed, and the removal process will be terminated.

    Removal of "Interstage Shunsaku Data Manager Enterprise Edition" was terminated. 

    If the uninstallation was successful, a message will be displayed indicating that the removal process has completed.

    Removal of "Interstage Shunsaku Data Manager Enterprise Edition" was successful.

  3. Delete the port numbers that have been defined in the following "services" file on the server:
    /etc/services

  4. The uninstallation script does not change IPC resource settings. Review the IPC resource settings and change them if necessary.
