Chapter 5 Installing an Upgrade | > 5.4 Differences between Shunsaku 8.0 and the Older Versions |
As the result of functional enhancements under 8.0, the following functions differ from 7.0:
The log output function has been enhanced and the performance information of each process can be collected as performance logs in each process. Using this function, the user can determine the process that is a bottleneck of the performance and also can analyze the performance when adding more data to be searched. Refer to the Operator's Guide for details.
To determine the cause of problems immediately and to reduce the collected information, the setup procedures and the way to handle the log and performance log when they are omitted have been changed. Refer to Execution Parameters in Environment Files of the Operator's Guide for details.
The format of a search expression that can be specified in an application has been enhanced and attribute values have become searchable.
If @ is used as the starting character for the element name, the search may not be performed correctly. Refer to Note on the XML Format of the Application Development Guide for details.
For using the same search as Shunsaku 7.x, specify '1: Do not search attribute values' at the SearchAttribute parameter in the system environment file. Refer to System Environment Files of the Operator's Guide for details.
