5.3.2 Under Windows

This section describes the procedure for upgrading Shunsaku APIs on Windows Application Servers.

However, an upgrade for .NET API environment must be installed if the .NET API is used.

• Upgrade installations must be performed by users that belong to the Administrators group.
• Stop all applications before installing the upgrade.

Installing an Upgrade for Shunsaku API

1. Start the Shunsaku install program.
   1. Insert the CD-ROM.

      Insert the Shunsaku CD-ROM in the disk drive.

   2. Execute the install program.

      When the CD-ROM is inserted, the install menu is displayed. Click the Install button.
      If the install menu does not display, run MENU.EXE from the CD-ROM.

2. In the Welcome dialog, click the Next button.

3. In the Installation Confirmation dialog, click the Install button.

   

   Do not click the Cancel button. If the Cancel button is clicked after the installation has started, the upgrade will need to be uninstalled and then installed again.

4. Click the Finish button.

5. When the Restarting Windows dialog is displayed, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now, and click the OK button.

Installing an Upgrade for .NET API Environment

After installing Microsoft .NET Framework and Shunsaku API function, follow the procedure below to register Shunsaku API assembly (Fujitsu.Shunsaku.dll) and Shunsaku API publisher policy assembly (policy.8.0.Fujitsu.Shunsaku.dll) to the global assembly cache (hereafter abbreviated as GAC).

If Shunsaku API is installed, Shunsaku API assembly and Shunsaku API publisher policy assembly are located at the following directory.

Shunsaku installation folder\Shunsaku\lib

Registration from the GUI

Use the explorer to display GAC, then drag and drop Shunsaku API assembly and Shunsaku API publisher policy assembly.
