Chapter 6 Uninstallation

This chapter describes the action method when uninstalling, the method of maintaining the data base, and the trouble occur.

6.1 Uninstallation Procedure

6.1.1 Storage server uninstallation

In the storage server, execute uninstallation by using the following procedures.

To uninstall in cluster operation it is necessary to delete the environment of all Storage server transactions of AdvancedCopy Manager currently created by the node.

6.1.1.1 Deletion of a storage server

The Storage server which is uninstalled is deleted from a AdvancedCopy Manager management subordinate.

Please refer to "Server deletion method" of "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager User's Guide " of a Storage management server about the deletion method of the Storage server in a Web client.

Please refer to "Server information deletion command (stgxfwcmdelsrv)" of "AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's guide" about the deletion method of the Storage server by a command.

The instructions will be in the ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's guide for the operating system of the target Storage Server.

6.1.1.2 Saving a script

Uninstallation deletes the shell script used by order [backup restoration] processing and processing before and after a replication. So if a customized script is to be reused again it needs to be saved in a directory outside of the Advanced Copy directories.

6.1.1.3 Daemon deactivatio n

Deactivate the daemon of the storage server with the following command:

# /opt/swstorage/bin/stopacm

6.1.1.4 Removing the /etc/services file settings

Delete the service that was set as described in "Setting up the /etc/services File"

6.1.1.5 Uninstallation

Place the system in superuser mode.
# su <Return>
Execute the swunsetup command. By executing the swuset command, most of the packages listed in Section B.1, "Program Components of Agent of AdvancedCopy Manager" are deleted.
# /opt/swstorage/setup/stg/swunsetup <Return>
- To re-install into another directory after executing the swunsetup command, confirm whether the directory of the package shown in "Program Components of Agent of AdvancedCopy Manager" remains.
  When the directory remains even if the swunsetup command is executed, remove the directories after saving data if necessary.
The command below should be executed to delete the FJSVgrapi (ETERNUS storage system Access API) package after checking that only the AdvancedCopy Manager uses this package function.
# pkgrm FJSVgrapi<Return>
The command below should be executed to delete the FJSVswtrc package after checking that only the AdvancedCopy Manager uses this package function.
# pkgrm FJSVswtrc<Return>

6.1.2 Uninstallation of the storage management server

Please carry out unset up the following procedures by the Storage management server.

To uninstall in cluster operation it is necessary to delete the environment of all Storage server transactions / Storage management server transactions of AdvancedCopy Manager currently created by the node.

6.1.2.1 Saving a script

6.1.2.2 Deletion of all storage servers

Delete all target storage servers of the storage management server to uninstall them from the AdvancedCopy Manager control panel.

For an explanation on how to use a command to delete the storage server, see "Server information deletion command (stgxfwcmdelsrv)," in the ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's Guide.

6.1.2.3 Daemon deactivatio n

Deactivate the daemon of the storage management server with the following command:

# /opt/swstorage/bin/stopacm

6.1.2.4 Cancel of repository setting s

Uninstall the database integration, delete the database and its environment, and cancel the repository settings.

To uninstall the database integration, log in as a root user.
When the Storage management server is being operated on the cluster system, a repository is deleted by deletion of Storage management server transaction. Therefore, it is not necessary to carry out this operation.
Execute it at the locale specified at the time of installation on the Storage management server (or at the time of Symfoware installation if Symfoware is already installed).

Place the system in superuser mode.
# su <Return>
Uninstall the database integration.

Enter the following command to uninstall the database integration.
# /opt/swstorage/bin/stgdbunset

Confirm whether to continue processing.

To continue processing, enter "y." To stop processing, enter "n."

Deletion of the storage management server database is complete.

During deletion of the storage management server database, the result is displayed on the screen from time to time. The following is an example of the results of execution.

If an overwrite confirmation message is displayed on the screen during processing, enter "y."

6.1.2.5 Removing the /etc/services file settings

Delete the service that is set in the description in "Setting up the port number (/etc/services file)"

6.1.2.6 Uninstallation

Refer to the "Solaris version ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Install Guide".
