Appendix D Notice of supplemental information> D.1 Trouble shooting> D.1.7 Environment configuration mistakes

D.1.7.1 GLS daemon is not activated

Symptom:

When the Linux kernel is updated, the GLS daemon is not activated. Also, an error message indicating "Starting hanet: failed" is output to the system startup log (/var/log/boot.log).

Corrective action:

Compile the GLS virtual driver (sha driver) when installing the GLS package. If the kernel version when the GLS package is installed is different than that when GLS is operated, driver loading will fail so that the GLS daemon will not be activated.

Check if the kernel version is the same. If you want to update the Linux kernel, it is necessary to install the GLS package again.
