22.1.4 Change (partition configuration)

The following describes the flow of operations to change the partition configuration of a file system. In GFS Management ViewTerm, the following configuration changes can be made:

A file data partition can be added to a mounted or unmounted file system. An update log area can be separated only when the file system is unmounted.

For details on each operation in the flow described in the following figure, see Section 22.5, "Change (partition configuration)."

The following figures show the operation flow for adding partitions to mounted and unmounted file systems.
