2.12.1 Notes on use of logical volumes of GDS

GDS is volume management software designed to improve the availability and operation manageability of information stored on disk units.

To use a logical volume of GDS in the GFS Local File System, there is a notice.

Don't use online volume expansion for the logical volume of GDS that is including GFS Local File System. If the capacity of logical volume of GDS changes by online volume extension, it becomes impossible to mount the GFS local file system on this volume. In this case, please restore backup data to the same logical volume of size as before.
To increase the capacity of a GFS Local File System, please create a new logical volume and perform a partition addition to the target file system.
