3.2 Expansion Procedure

This section explains the procedure for expansion of PCI cards for non-redundant and redundant configurations by using DR in case of Solaris 8 and Solaris 9 or later.

The difference of the both procedures is as follows.
In Solaris 8, it is necessary to reserve the definition of I/O devices that are expected to expand beforehand before system operation, but in Solaris 9 or later, this procedure is not required..
