3.2.10.1 Network Configuration

This section describes how to perform the Network Configuration operation.

Operation

1. From the eXtended System Control Facility (XSCF) Administration menu, select [Network Configuration].
2. Specify the following information in the menu:
   • IP Address

     Enter the IP address.

   • Subnet Mask

     Enter the subnet mask.

   • Gateway Address

     Enter the gateway.

   • XSCF Host Name

     Enter the host name.

     Specify the host name with a full domain.

     The usable characters are alphanumeric characters (a-z, A-Z, and 0-9), - (hyphen), and . (period).

     Up to 63 characters can be used.

     To send mail from XSCF, be sure to specify this item.

   • Name Server 1

     Enter name server 1.

   • Name Server 2

     Enter name server 2.

3. Select [Save Configuration].

   The network setting information is reflected to XSCF.
