11.3 Restoring by Linux Standard commands

The following describes the procedure for restoring a file system from the backup tapes prepared as described earlier.

 

Two restoring methods are available:

• Restoring file by file using the appropriate Linux Standard commands
• Restoring by file system using dd(1)
