11.1 Type of Backing Up and Restoring

The following describes the backing-up and restoring of the GFS Shared File System using.

• Backing up and restoring file by file
  • General-purpose backing-up tools not dependent on the file system structure (ArcServe/OPEN, Solstice Backup, etc.)
  • Linux Standard commands cpio(1) and tar(1)
